Gone are the days of foaming facial cleansers that leave my skin feeling squeaky (literally squeaking!) clean and stripped of moisture. These days I’m all about the oil cleansers which you’ll know if you read my first EVER blog post on Holly & Monty in which I extolled the virtues of Origins Clean Energy Cleansing Oil. I still love that little bottle of yellow oily loveliness and have been through three bottles of the stuff. But lately I have been looking to mix up my skincare routine and hankered after a cleanser a little less messy and decided to give Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel a chance. Don’t let the unassuming white bottle and ‘gel’ in the name out you off – this cleanser is a pampering treat your face will thank you for. The built in pump delivers exactly thr right amount of pinky orange gel into your hand (no feef to fork out for a seperate pump like with the Origins product). Then as if by magic, as soon as you start to rub the gel onto your dry skin it transforms into a silky smooth oil. It’s apparently jam packed with lots of lovely natural ingredients such as pumpkin enzymes to lift impurities, illuminate and nourish. I must say I wasn’t too sure about the smell at first and still can’t put my finger on exactly what it reminds me of but it’s in no way nasty. After adding a little water the product emulsifies and then you simply rinse off with warm water or a muslim cloth and enjoy your super soft face.
